Sarah Bushey
Principal
My name is Sarah Bushey, and I am so blessed to be a part of the St. Robert Family. I live in Flushing with my husband Joe, my 3 kids, Natalie (freshman at SVSU), Michael (12th grade at Powers) and Kaytlin (10th Grade at Powers), my 2 dogs, chinchilla, and bearded dragon. Some say I run a zoo - I'd say that's true! My teaching career began in 2000 at Holy Redeemer in Burton, teaching Preschool and 3rd grade. I then moved to Carman Ainsworth where I taught Kindergarten and Reading Recovery for 6 years, attained my Reading Recovery endorsement and my Masters in Elementary Education. I took 2 years off to be mom to my 3 amazing children who were 4, 3 and 1 at the time. I also started a business with my best friend making cakes and cakeballs. In 2010, God led me to St. Paul in Owosso to teach 1st grade and then 3rd/4th Multi-Age. I joined the St. Robert Family in 2018 as the Preschool teacher and Early Childhood Director. I love being local and teaching in the community where I live. There is nowhere else I'd rather be!

Anne Stankiewicz
Preschool Fours
I am the preschool teacher at St. Robert for the four year old students. Before coming to St. Robert, I worked with Head Start for eight years, as well as in daycare centers. I also homeschooled my children for ten years. I have taught religion classes for many years to various age groups.
I have five children and two grandchildren and have been married to my husband since graduating from college. I have taken classes from Mott and graduated from Siena Heights University with a degree in Child Development. I enjoy gardening, photography, camping, crafting, and spending time with my family.
I love how supportive and welcoming the staff and families are at St. Robert. I am blessed to help children know and love God which also inspires growth in my own spiritual life.
Michelle Towns
1st Grade Teacher
Hello! My name is Michelle Towns. I'm truly blessed to the first grade teacher at SRS. I have taught in Grand Blanc Community Schools for 20 years. Previously, I taught in Flushing Community Schools for 5 years. I have enjoyed teaching preschool- 2nd grade. I graduated from the University of Michigan - Flint where I earned my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education with an Early Childhood Endorsement. I received my Master's degree from Marygrove college. I live in Flushing with my husband, Kent and my two sons, Tyler (21) who is a Junior at Ferris State University and Tanner (15) who is a 10th grader at Powers Catholic High School as well as my English Cream Golden Retriever fur baby, Chevy. I enjoy spending time with my family, vacationing at the beach, and watching Powers soccer games. I love the "family" feeling at SRS with the staff, the students, and families as well as the ability to share our Faith and belief in God, our Father throughout the day and at weekly Mass.
Amy Klump
3rd Grade Teacher
Hi! My name is Amy Klump and I am the 3rd grade teacher. Currently, I teach all 3rd grade subjects. In the past, I have taught 1st and 2nd grade Religion and Science. Before coming to SRS I was a Reading Interventionist at Mt. Morris Schools. I received a Bachelor of Science from Grand Valley State University and a Masters in the Art of Teaching with a K-6 reading specialty from Marygrove College.
I live in Flushing with my husband and three boys. What I love about SRS is that we are a family of faith. Our staff, families, and students are always willing to offer prayer or a helping hand when needed.
Andrea Trantham
4th Grade Teacher
I have been teaching at St Robert School since 2010. Before teaching at St. Robert, I taught one year of middle school in Nogales, Arizona. I currently teach 4th grade along with 5th and 7th grade Science. I have a bachelor's degree from Eastern Michigan University and a master's degree from Marygrove College. I am married and have a daughter named Elizabeth. As a child I attended St. Robert School and have fond memories of my time as a student at St. Robert. I love working with all of the students and staff at this school and watching them change and grow over the years.
Cindy Kelly
6th Grade Teacher
I am the 6th grade homeroom teacher at St. Robert. I teach 6th-8th grade Social Studies, 6th-7th grade Reading, 6th grade Language, as well as various electives. Over the years, I have also taught Spanish, Economics, Life Skills, and Current Events.
I attended Eastern Michigan University and graduated from the University of Michigan-Flint with a B.S. in Education and have spent my entire teaching career at St. Robert.
While attending EMU, I met my husband Chris, and we have two children, Brooke and Christopher. We were so blessed to have both of our kids attend St. Robert and Powers Catholic High School. It has truly been a family of faith, and I've loved watching our school change and grow over the years.
Outside of school, I love traveling, spending time with my family, gardening, kayaking, reading, and snuggling with my fur baby, Frannie.
Michelle Kovel
7th Grade Homeroom
I have been married to my husband Greg for 31 years and have two wonderful children, Abigail and Brett. I am proud to say that myself, my husband and children all were fortunate to have attended Catholic schools for elementary and high school and we are all proud graduates of Powers Catholic High School. Education must be in our blood because my husband has been teaching for 33 years and is currently teaching American History at Powers Catholic. My son is also teaching at Powers Catholic as a freshman World History Teacher. My daughter is a guidance counselor at Owosso High School. We are huge Pittsburg Steelers fans and spend every Sunday in the "Fan Cave" cheering for our team. We have been fortunate to attend several games rooting for the Steelers in Pittsburgh!
Kat Daniel
8th Grade Teacher
I am the 8th grade homeroom teacher at St. Robert. I teach 4th and 6th grade Religion, 8th grade Math, 6th and 8th grade Science, and 6th-8th grade computer.
I earned my Bachelor's degree in Physical Geography and my Master's degree in Education from the University of Michigan - Flint.
Before God called me to teach at St. Robert, I worked in the SCUBA industry in Florida and Hawaii. My husband and I currently operate a summer camp-at-sea in the British Virgin Islands.
Outside of school and SeaTrek, we love to spend time with our three children traveling, camping, sailing and relaxing at our cabin.
Elena Partlow
Reading Specialist
My name is Elena Partlow and I am the Reading Specialist for St. Robert School. I have been working in partnership with teachers to provide students with individualized reading instruction for 22 years.
I live in Flushing with my husband, Jim, our Labrador and two retired show horses. I have three daughters that attended St. Robert School and two grandchildren living in Hartland. I love spending my free time with my family or walking, biking, crafting, gardening, camping and reading.
I am proud to be part of St. Robert School staff and to assist students in reaching their full reading potential. At St. Robert School we are truly a family with genuine concern for the well-being of each other and community.
Andrew Bobalik
Technology Coordinator
My name is Andrew Bobalik and I am the Technology Coordinator. I have a Bachelor Degree in Operations Management from The University of Michigan, Flint. I am proud to be a 1984 graduate of St. Robert School, and my brother and sister are also alumni. My wife, Kelly, and I have been married for 25 years and live in Flushing. What I love best about St. Robert School is working with our wonderful students and great staff.
Fred Fras
Maintenance Supervisor
I am the Maintenance Supervisor who is responsible for the care and upkeep of the school, church, parish office, gymnasium, Activity Center, and the cemetery. One of my favorite parts of my job is to greet the kids and welcome them to school every morning.
I worked at General Motors for 43 years, E-5 NCO Navy 1970-1977. I own Whispering Pines Tree Farm- Forever. I attended U of M Flint and GMI, Statistical Methodology.
I am married and have 4 children, 9 grands and 3 great-grands.
I love the great staff and students at SRS!
