Sarah Bushey

Hi! I’m Sarah Bushey, and I feel so blessed to be part of the St. Robert Catholic School family. I’ve been in education since 2000, beginning at Holy Redeemer in Burton where I taught Preschool and 3rd grade. Later, I moved to Carman-Ainsworth, teaching Kindergarten and Reading Recovery while earning my Master’s in Elementary Education and Reading Recovery endorsement.

After two years at home with my three little ones (and running a fun cake and cake ball business with my best friend!), I returned to the classroom at St. Paul in Owosso, teaching 1st grade and 3rd/4th Multi-Age. In 2018, God led me to St. Robert, where I began as the Preschool Teacher and Early Childhood Director. For the past four years, I’ve had the privilege of serving as Principal of this wonderful school.

Flushing has always been home, and I’m so grateful to lead and teach in the same community where I live. My three amazing kids are now young adults - Natalie (senior at SVSU), Michael (junior at MSU), and Kaytlin (freshman at SVSU).

My favorite Bible verse, “Be still and know that I am God” (Psalm 46:10), reminds me daily that it is only in the silence of our hearts that we truly hear God speak. That truth guides me as I lead with faith, listen with love, and trust in His plan for our school community. There’s truly no place I’d rather be!
